A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.
Jaakko Kooroshy
Global Head of Sustainable Investment Research, FTSE Russell
Jaakko Kooroshy serves as the Global Head of Sustainable Investment Research and Head of Innovation & Standards for Sustainable Investing at FTSE Russell, an LSEG Business, since June 2018. Prior experience includes the role of Executive Director in Global Investment Research at Goldman Sachs from December 2014 to June 2018, and as a Research Fellow at Chatham House, focusing on "Resources Futures" in the Energy, Environment, and Resources Department from May 2011 to November 2014. Jaakko has also held positions as a Policy Analyst at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, a startup manager at IM Palzer & Kuhn GbR, and a Research Consultant at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in International Relations/International Political Economy from the University of Amsterdam and Bachelor degrees in Social Sciences and History from University College Maastricht and International Economic Studies from Maastricht University.Â
